TASS: in Belarus, Nobel laureate Bialiatsky sentenced to ten years in prison

March 3 – BLiTZ. According to TASS, in Belarus on Friday. On March 3, the court found Nobel laureate Ales Byalyatsky guilty. He was charged with smuggling.

As a result, Byalyatsky was sentenced to ten years in a penal colony.

Valentin Stefanovich and Vladimir Labkovich, who were with Byalyatsky, were sentenced to nine and seven years in prison, respectively.

Byalyatsky also gained notoriety as the head of the unregistered Viasna human rights center. Stefonovich and Labkovich were also representatives of the “Spring”.
