Kolkata, 25 April (Hindustan Times). The Special Task Force (STF) of the West Bengal Police has arrested a terrorist. His name is Naseemuddin.
STF SP Indrajit Basu said on Tuesday afternoon that Naseemuddin was arrested today from a secret hideout in Dadpur in Hooghly district. He was living here for a long time hiding from the security agencies. In August last year, an FIR was registered at the government police station. Since then he was absconding. He has links with many terrorist organizations of Bangladesh and Pakistan. He is being interrogated.
However, Indrajit refused to tell which terrorist organization he is associated with. The SP said that at present legal action has been initiated by registering a case under sections of UAPA. Cases have also been registered under sections of CrPC of the Indian Penal Code.
