The Chief Minister bid farewell to the dead bodies of the martyred soldiers in the Naxalite attack.

Dantewada, 27 April (Hindustan Times). Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel shouldered the mortal remains of the DRG jawans who sacrificed their lives in the Aranpur Naxalite attack and sent them to their native villages. He reached Karli police line of the district headquarters on Thursday to pay homage. He bowed down to the sacrifices and offered a bunch of flowers on their mortal remains.

Chief Minister Baghel met the families of the martyred soldiers and expressed condolences and consoled them. On this occasion, Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu, Bastar MP Deepak Baij, MP Phoolodevi Netam, Bijapur MLA Vikram Madavi, Dantewada MLA Devti Karma, District Panchayat President Tulika Karma, DGP Ashok Juneja, ADG Naxal Vivekanand Sinha, Bastar Commissioner Shyam Dhawade, IG Bastar Sunderraj P. Collector Vineet Nandanwar, Superintendent of Police Siddharth Tiwari and other public representatives were also present.

In fact, on April 26, 10 DRG jawans and a driver were killed in a Naxalite attack. All the jawans were traveling in a pick-up vehicle. The DRG jawans were returning from an operation, during which the Maoists detonated the IED.
