The competition to fill, by temporary transfer, the vacant positions of judges at the Supreme Court of Justice will be held on May 3-4, 2023, announced the Superior Council of the Magistracy.

Among the conditions for participation, the CSM mentioned that applicants must have at least eight years of work as a judge, an impeccable reputation, and that no disciplinary sanctions have been issued in their name, at least in the last two years.

Thus, 14 judges from the Chisinau, Balti, Orhei, Străseni Courts, from the Chisinau Court of Appeal and the Comrat Court of Appeal have expressed their intention to participate in the competition.

AGORA reminds that the Superior Council of the Magistracy decided to announce a competition for filling, by temporary transfer, 12 judge positions at the Supreme Court of Justice, on April 10.

This, in the context of the crisis that took shape at the Supreme Court of Justice, with the resignation of several magistrates.

Following these departures, the Commission for Extraordinary Situations (CSE) decided to adopt an extraordinary temporary measure to suspend the resignation requests of judges, for a period of 30 days.

However, the CSE revised its decision and, after the announcement by the CSM of the competition for the temporary transfer of magistrates from other courts to the CSJ, the seven judges who intended to leave the Supreme Court of Justice were able to leave the system .
