Dhanbad News: After getting recognition for 100 MBBS seats in Shaheed Nirmal Mahato Medical College and Hospital (SNMMCH), the exercise of preparing infrastructure to start studies has intensified. According to the guidelines of the National Medical Council (NMC), it is possible to start MBBS studies on 100 seats in the medical college only after completing the qualification.
In such a situation, Alok Trivedi, Additional Secretary, Department of Health, Education and Family Welfare, has sought information from the Principal of the Medical College, Dr. Jyoti Ranjan Prasad, about the status of doctors, number of manpower, available machines, etc. in all the departments at present. After receiving the letter from the Health Headquarters, a list of resources is being prepared on the instructions of the Principal. Please tell that NMC has given permission to start studies in 100 seats in the medical college. However, before that it has been asked to fulfill all the qualifications related to it.
Nomination will be done on 100 seats instead of 50 from next session
At present, students are admitted to 50 MBBS seats in the medical college. Whereas, in the month of January this year, NMC has given permission to increase the number of seats in the medical college from 50 to 100.

According to the guidelines of NMC, the people of Dhanbad will also benefit from the exercise of starting studies on 100 seats here. Regarding this, new doctors will be reinstated here. Right now there is a shortage of about 40 percent doctors and about 30 percent manpower.
