The Germans criticized the demands of Burbock to Lavrov in Ukraine

German newspaper readers Die Welt on Thursday, March 2, they criticized the appeal of German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock to her colleague Sergei Lavrov during a session at the G20 demanding an end to the conflict in Ukraine.

A number of readers have come to the conclusion that the head of the German Foreign Ministry is only engaged in self-promotion.

“Instead of diplomacy, the German Foreign Minister is engaged in PR,” wrote a commentator under the nickname haike x.

As another user noted, after the diplomat’s past statements about Russia, it cannot mediate in the Ukrainian conflict.

“I drove myself into a dead end. Unfortunately, she can only make empty speeches instead of achieving real change through diplomacy, ”said Tom T.

“Unfortunately, Burbock is not taken seriously,” added Ralf Rugen.

Burbock has been criticized more than once by public opinion. So, on February 19, Twitter users shamed Burbock for illiteracy after her words about a 360-degree turn in Russian politics. Residents of Germany expressed doubts about the competence of the minister after, in her speech at the Munich Security Conference, she announced a turn of Moscow’s policy “by 360 degrees” instead of “180 degrees”.

In turn, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, on February 18, commenting on the words of the German Foreign Minister, ironically called Burbock an “expert in geometry”, while noting that if Moscow changed its position by 360 degrees, this would mean that she would have left it the same. Medvedev pointed out that “this is how it will be” as long as Russia sticks to its position.

Last November, Twitter users criticized the German Foreign Minister for his words about Nazism. At that time, many noticed that Burbock herself supported the Nazi regime in Kyiv and accused her of hypocrisy.

In response, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova advised Burbock to take a vacation and study geopolitics. This is how she commented on the call of the head of the German department “to prevent the unhindered strengthening of the Russian Federation and China in Central Asia.”
