The government has made preparations, 100 more AC buses will hit the streets of Kolkata

Kolkata, 02 May (Hindustan Times). The West Bengal State Transport Department has completed preparations to give great relief to the commuters on the roads of the metropolis. Sources have said that 100 more AC buses will be introduced on the roads of the state. By next month, these buses will start plying on the roads of the metropolis. Sources have told that these buses will be run on Sealdah, Howrah, Ultadanga, Sector-5, Ruby, Jadavpur and Dharmatalla Road.

Confirming this, State Transport Minister Snehasish Chakraborty has said that there is a plan to put all these AC buses on the roads by the last week of this month. This will provide relief to the passengers in the scorching heat. These have been prepared and kept in the transport depot. They will be given the green signal as soon as they get the consent of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

It is noteworthy that recently, completing the trial run of the country’s ambitious underwater metro project, the metro has been run from the bottom of the river Ganga to Howrah Maidan. With this, traveling through AC Metro has become easy in every corner of Kolkata. Now landing of 100 more AC buses on the roads will definitely be a relief to the passengers.
