Prime Video, the most preferred entertainment destination for viewers in India, on Wednesday released the trailer of its upcoming crime drama series ‘Dahad’. This series by Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar is directed by Kagti along with Ruchika Oberoi.

Produced by Excel Media & Entertainment and Tiger Baby, the series is executive produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti. Dahad stars Sonakshi Sinha, Vijay Verma, Gulshan Devaiah and Sohum Shah in lead roles. Starting May 12, all Prime members in over 240 countries can enjoy streaming the series.

The trailer of Dahad is very exciting, which starts with a very tense atmosphere. At the local police station, Anjali Bhati and fellow cops are seen searching for an unknown serial killer who is roaming freely. The character of Anjali Bhati is played by Sonakshi Sinha. A series of mysterious disappearances of women triggers a manhunt to find the culprit. Anjali Bhati has very little time as she tries to piece together the evidence and catch the culprit before an innocent woman’s life is lost.

Sonakshi Sinha said, “Dahad is the most special project for me. This is because it not only marks my streaming debut, but is also the first Indian series to be screened at the 2023 Berlinale International Film Festival.” She further added, “Anjali Bhati is the most unique of all the characters I have played so far. Reema and Zoya have powerfully crafted a character who has the potential to be a role model for generations to come. It has been a truly wonderful experience working with this cast and crew and I am extremely excited to bring this series to a global audience through Prime Video.”

Vijay Verma said, “The series is really entertaining and very special, creating immense excitement and thrill among the viewers. This has been one of the most challenging roles I have played so far and the result has been truly amazing. I am extremely excited to be working on this series and to be associated with Excel Entertainment, Tiger Baby and Prime Video again. The series was loved by everyone at Berlinale and now I am eagerly waiting to see how the audience reacts to it now in India and abroad.”
