Kanpur : On the occasion of International Mother’s Day, Kanpur Metro organized cultural programs and blood donation camp at Motijheel metro station in association with non-governmental organizations in honor of motherly powers. Women participants along with their children participated in the cultural programs. Volunteers of NGOs and metro passengers donated blood in large numbers. Officials of Kanpur Metro were also present.

The series of programs started at Motijheel Metro Station from around 4 pm on Sunday evening. First of all, General Manager – Rolling Stock Mohit Son and Akanshu Govil welcomed and honored all the maternal powers on behalf of Kanpur Metro. After this, the children present in the program gave dance and singing presentations. The presentations of Divyang children specially attracted everyone. Women also did a ramp walk with their children.
Faces blossomed while traveling in the metro
The participants and metro commuters also participated enthusiastically in the blood donation camp. Till 7 pm around 50 people donated blood in the camp. In the last phase of the programme, all the women participants along with their children were made to travel by metro and the faces of the young ones blossomed after getting the experience of metro travel.
