UP Nikay Election Results 2023: in Kanpur body elections Three FIRs have been registered against 80 people for bogus voting along with pouring water and acid in the ballot boxes during the municipal elections in Bilhaur on Thursday. There was a disturbance in the election of two wards in Islamia School, after which the State Election Commission decided to hold re-polling here on Friday. Re-polling was held in three wards here amid tight security. At the same time, due to the registration of the FIR, the matter is in the headlines. It continued to be discussed on Saturday amid the counting of civic elections.

Three FIRs were registered

During the civic elections in Bilhaur municipality, water, acid and ink were put in the ballot boxes during the voting by some chaotic elements. On this, the officers posted in the booth have lodged three FIRs against 80 unknowns. The first FIR was lodged by Toshkar Jha, a resident of Senani Vihar, Lucknow, against 25 unknowns. According to Toshkar, he was the presiding officer of part number 25, ward 25. On May 11, during the voting, at 5.30 pm, 25 people entered and poured liquid like water and acid into the ballot box.

The second FIR was lodged by the Presiding Officer of Part No. 22, Ward 22, Village Sihari Post, Kachgaon, Kanpur Dehat, by Ramnaresh, a resident of Kanpur Dehat, against 30 unknown persons in the matter of pouring water and acid into the ballot box. Shailendra Singh, resident of Alimco Housing Society, Vinayakpur, Kalyanpur, the presiding officer of part number 16 ward in Kanya Primary School, filed a third report on 25 unknowns. ADCP West Lakhan Yadav said that the accused are being identified on the basis of video footage.

Section 188 (disobeying instructions of the government), section 147 (guilty of rioting), 149 (unlawful assembly in order to commit an offence), 171F (causing undue influence or An FIR has been registered under sections 132, 135A, 136 of the Representation of the People Act and section 3 of the Prevention of Damage to Property Act. On the other hand, bumper voting took place at three booths in Bilhaur on Friday in re-polling. In all the three booths, 69.15 percent votes were polled.
