Vehicles will ply on Patna’s JP Ganga path from July 15 to Gaighat, relief from jam problem

Pramod Jha, Patna. Vehicles will ply on JP Gangapath from Digha to Gaighat till July 15. With its commissioning, people will take about 20 to 25 minutes to travel from Gaighat to Digha. With the preparation of an alternative route, people will get relief from the problem of jam in Ashok Rajpath while coming and going from Gandhi Maidan to Gaighat. Only 75 meters of work is left to prepare the elevated road from JP Gangapath to Gaighat. Now the work of super structure is left on only two spans. To prepare the elevated road, preparations are on to remove the launcher mounted on top. After its removal, the casting work will be done on the remaining two spans. On completion of JP Gangapath till Gaighat, there will be facility of commuting up to 12.5 kms. Presently there is facility of commuting from Digha to PMCH in 7.7 kms.

Connectivity work will be done next month

The work of providing connectivity from JP Gangapath to Gaighat will be ready in the month of June. After the work of giving final touch is completed in a week, the way will be opened for vehicles from the second week. The source told that the work of super structure is going on fast till Gaighat. Work is left on only two spans, one 50 meters and the other span 25 meters. This work will happen after the landing of the launcher. The slab of the ramp descending from JP Gangapath towards Gaighat will be ready by the month of June. Now there is no obstacle in it. The source said that the JP Gangapath is likely to be operational by January 2025 till Didarganj.

A part of the connection will be ready in Krishna Ghat by December

There will be connectivity from Gangapath to Krishna Ghat to reach Ashok Rajpath. Connectivity will be made in one part by December. After this the second part will be made. A separate route will be prepared to reach the ghat from Gangapath.

Hearing in encroachment case will be held on Friday

A hearing will be held on Friday in the matter of removal of encroachment from the four-lane road being constructed for connection from the last end of Didarganj in JP Gangapath to the intersection of the old NH 30 and the old road leading to Fatuha. Patna Sadar CO will hear the case along with officers and ryots. According to the decision in the hearing, the work of removing the encroachment will be done. The distance between JP Gangapath to Tirahe is 750 meters. Presently this road is of two lanes. It has to be made fourlane. Encroachment is a problem in road construction.
