Luxurious tulips can transform the most boring suburban area. In order for the flowers to please the gardener with their lush flowering, they should be properly looked after, and it is important to start with the choice of the planting date. The public news service figured out when to plant tulips on the plot.
You can plant tulips both in autumn and in spring, however, autumn planting maximizes the chances of success, so we will dwell on it in more detail.

How to plant bulbs
To plant the bulbs in open ground, you need to dig planting holes in advance with a depth equal to three bulbs. If a flower bed with heavy soil is used for planting, then the depth of the hole should be the size of two bulbs.
When planting, leave 8–10 cm between bulbs and 20 cm between rows.

Spring planting is not common, since flowering of such specimens occurs only next year. In the spring, the bulbs are planted when they see that they are no longer in a very promising state and may not reach the fall.
Spring planting is carried out as early as possible, but in accordance with the climate. The best option is to plant in containers even in frost and then move to a flower bed. In this case, the soil temperature should not be lower than +9 degrees at a depth of 10 cm.
