Anti-Bangladesh forces should be arrested immediately!

Since the mid of March, extreme fundamentalist Hefazat-e-Islami, with the active collaboration of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Jamaat-e-Islami. Hizbut Tahrir and other militancy groups started countrywide mayhem and terrorist activities in the name of protesting Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Bangladesh visit. It may be mentioned here that, Mr. Modi visited Bangladesh during March 26~27 to attend the golden jubilee celebration of Bangladesh’s independence as well as birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. According to media reports, vested quarters, including Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka as well as anti-Bangladesh forces, including West Bengal’s Trinamool Congress leaders were funding such notoriety of Hefazat-e-Islam and its cohorts. Public and private properties were damaged by these religious extremists, while it even attacked the members of law enforcement agencies.

Following such notorious mayhem, Hefazat-e-Islam leader Mamunul Haque went to a luxury resort in Narayanganj city with a woman on secret sex rendezvous. As Mamun was caught red-handed by the locals, rowdy Hefazat-e-Islami men once again began notorious terrorist acts in the name of protest. Shameless Hefazat men even termed Mamunul’s getting caught during illicit acts as “harassment” and some of the leaders demanding death penalty of the members of law enforcement agencies for “killing” Hefazat activists.

Some of the members and supporters of this radical Islamic force started giving instigation of spreading the terrorist acts of Hefazat and its nefarious vandalism during the celebration of the golden jubilee of Bangladesh’s independence. We already have identified few of such cases, where one woman named Shahana Rashid was seen publishing post on her Facebook account calling upon people to spread the anti-Modi demonstration, while lot of commenters in the post called for waging jihad against the Bangladesh government. It may be mentioned here that, Shahana is accused of terror financing and money laundering, in addition to series of criminal and terrorist activities.

We also identified another video statement of an unknown individual on a YouTube channel, where he has passed extremely defamatory and offensive remarks on Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Such acts are unforgivable and members of the law enforcement agencies, especially Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) should arrest these culprits immediately.

We cannot allow any evil force in turning Bangladesh into another Pakistan and Afghanistan. Radical Islamic forces and their cohorts should be dealt with iron hand!
