Deep-rooted conspiracy against Bangladesh’s Directorate General of Forces Intelligence

It seems to us that a deep-rooted conspiracy is continuing against the Directorate General of Forces Intelligence. According to October 13, 2021 news report, an individual named Obaidus Sattar (37) was arrested from a hotel named ‘Motel Chisti’ in Naogaon district for allegedly proclaiming as the Director General of the Directorate General of Forces Intelligence (DGFI). The news report said, Obaidus Sattar rented room number 203 at ‘Motel Chisti’ on October 11, 2021 by falsely claiming to be the Director General of DGFI. On the following day, as the hotel authorities reportedly demanded payment of the room rent, the person said he would pay after seeing the Deputy Commissioner. At this stage, local police was informed and the person was later sent to prison by the court. Although it was a very serious matter, police did not take the accused on remand for further interrogation. Moreover, the photograph of the person, which has been published in the media does not show Obaidus Sattar worried at all. The most important point here, which has not been answered by the hotel authorities as to how they believed a person to the Director General of the Directorate General of Forces Intelligence (DGFI) who had simply walked into the hotel and made such an outrageous false claim. It seems, the entire drama was staged with the ulterior motive of maligning the image of DGFI.

On November 1, 2021, an exclusive report published in Blitz has exposed the notorious activities of an individual named Raino Aryan Khan alias Mir Asaduzzaman who has openly proclaimed as the “Founder & Creative Director of Amazon Prime Bangladesh”, an internationally known OTT platform.

Aryan, in his Facebook profile, also proclaims to be a film director, writer, editor, graphics designer at Indian film industry; a former student at NFDC India; former System Engineer at SATV (a satellite TV channel in Bangladesh); Former IT assistant at Desh TV (a satellite TV channel in Bangladesh); student of Rifles Public School & College (RPSC); and student of the College of Development Alternative (CODA). He also claims to have obtained Bachelor of Science (B. Sc) degree from the Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) University of Liberal Arts (ULAB); and INFORMATION SYSTEM ANALYST (IT ANALYST) at Directorate General of Forces Intelligence (DGFI), DGFI Headquarters, Dhaka Cantonment, Bangladesh.

In the Facebook profile, Raino Aryan Khan claims to be hailing from Sitakunda, Chittagong, Bangladesh and currently living in Navi Mumbai (New Mumbai), India.

It may be mentioned here that, in the recent days, a number of dubious individuals have been falsely claiming to be working with the Directorate of Forces Intelligence (DGFI), while some of them even are using forged identity cards. Such practices gave scope to several anti-Bangladesh and anti-DGFI propaganda portals such as Netra News in spreading lies about DGFI, Bangladesh Armed Forces and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina clearly with the ulterior agenda of tarnishing the image of Bangladesh. Now, the latest case of Raino Aryan Khan would surely ring the alarm as he has been openly proclaiming as the Information System Analyst (IT Analyst) at the Directorate of Forces Intelligence (DGFI) on social media platforms, while the matter missed the attention of the desks concerned of DGFI.

Although we are not sure if DGFI has truly hired Raino Aryan Khan alias Mir Asaduzzaman Arian, an individual living in Mumbai, India as their Information System Analyst (IT Analyst), we are sure about Aryan Khan’s claim as the “Founder & Creative Director” of Amazon Prime Bangladesh being totally false. We have also cross-checked with a number of sources in the Mumbai and Kolkata film industry in India and been confirmed that Raino Aryan Khan’s claim to be a “film director, writer, editor, graphics designer at Indian film industry” as outrageously baseless.

In another exclusive report Blitz has also exposed the notorious crime of Raino Aryan Khan, where, he and the members of his gang had shown extreme audacity by making announcement of a fake film named ‘Crack Platoon’ displaying the photographs of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the poster. According to a Facebook post dated October 12, 2021 (time 12:24 PM) by an individual named K.A. Rahaman Sujan, this film is supposed to be screened on December 16, 2021. In the Facebook post, K.A. Rahaman Sujan wrote: “Exciting project!, Film: Pongta Party, Filmmaker: Raino Aryan Khan, Amazon Prime Video”.

The poster of this so-called film says:

“Yash Raj Films proudly presents 1st ever Bengali movie CRACK PLATOON, story, screenplay, dialogues & directed by Raino Aryan Khan, Dec 16th, 2021, Celebrating 50 glorious independent years”.

These criminals tried to give a false impression in the same poster of as if it was going to be globally premiered on Amazon Prime Video.

Since publication of the report in Blitz, Raino Aryan Khan and his cohorts had quickly edited their Facebook IDs, while some of the posts were also deleted. It has been learnt from Dhaka’s showbiz industry that Raino Aryan Khan has been openly proclaiming as the Information System Analyst (IT Analyst) at the Directorate of Forces Intelligence (DGFI) for almost one year. During these months, unfortunately this matter did not catch the attention of the authorities concerned. The case of Raino Aryan Khan and the impersonating as DG DGFI in Naogaon may seem like isolated incidents, but it certainly seems like a well-planned operation undergoing with the motive of tarnishing the image of DGFI. Either groups with vested interest are trying to malign the DGFI, or the apex intelligence agency is hiring inept individuals who are tarnishing the image of the institution. Nevertheless, the incident in Naogaon seems like it did not draw enough attention from the DGFI, and this will, even if the individual is not connected to the agency, may tarnish the reputation of the organization.

We also have learnt about dubious activities of another individual named Momin Ruman, who too has been openly proclaiming to be affiliated with DGFI as well as some other law enforcement agencies.

This is truly a matter of grave concern. It is time for the Directorate of Forces Intelligence to take necessary and effective measure against those culprits who are illegally using the name of the organization. We need to note, members of the Directorate of Forces Intelligence (DGFI) have been tirelessly working in protecting Bangladesh’s sovereignty and saving the country from the evil clutches of vested interest groups and enemies of Bangladesh. For this reason, every patriotic citizen of Bangladesh remain eternally indebted to the members of this organization. May Allah bless and protect the members of the Bangladesh Armed Forces.
