Rashida Tlaib wants American tax payers pay her personal bills

US Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., has complained to her colleagues in Congress that they haven’t yet told taxpayers to take care of her remaining $70,000 in student-loan debt she incurred for her law degree.

“I worked full time, Monday through Friday, ad took weekend classes to get my law degree. And still, close to $200,000 in debt. And I still owe over $70,000 and most of it was interest,” she said.

She complained it was our own government “making profit off of me.”

“We have to stop treating as if folks that are paying for education as if they bought some [expensive] car.”

But as she makes $174,000 a year as a member of Congress, she was getting little sympathy.

A commentary at Twitchy was blunt, and brief:

“Talk about out of touch.”

Commentator Dana Loesch explained she worked multiple jobs to pay for her education.

“You chose to enter that debt,” she said. “We didn’t.”

Twitchy continued, “‘Everyone else should pay my bills’ might as well be the full Democratic Party platform at this point.”

An Iran veteran explained economics to Tlaib, with, “You borrow money … you pay it back. That’s how it works!”

Another pointed out, to Tlaib, “You could’ve become a raging loon in Congress without a law degree.”
