Media callus 89 percent of the world population

Are we, the people living in so-called ‘Third World’ or those who consist of 89 percent of the global population media callus? Unfortunately, my answer would be affirmative. While the Western pole calling itself the “international community”, made up of only 11 percent of the world’s population functions inwardly in unipolar terms with the United States acting hegemonically and having Europe, Britain, Australia, New Zealand and Japan as obedient subordinates, even to the detriment of their own citizens. They have nuclear power, military might, and above all – a massively dominant media – both print and electronic. If we believe in the theory of so-called mainstream media, those are all stationed in the West. They have Reuters, Associated Press, AFP (Agence France-Presse), CNN, BBC, Fox News, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The New York Post, The Guardian, The Economist, TIME magazine etcetera. What we – those 89 percent of the population have? Nothing! Why?

Lets first look into the Arab world. Despite the fact of having trillions of dollars on income, did they succeed in establishing a real global media outlet? People may bring here the example of Al Jazeera. I would humbly counter here stating, despite the fact that Al Jazeera truly is a massive media outlet, does it really have any impact or effect in the West? Should the Arab rulers want, they would be able to establish a real big media outlet, reaching the key-policymakers in the West. Most importantly, none of the Arab nations has a single English newspaper, TV channel or news agency that reaches the Western audience. In fact, in my opinion, if the Arab leaders wanted, they would establish a gigantic tech outlet such as Google. But they aren’t doing that. Instead, some of the wealthy Arab monarchs and businessmen had invested hugely in buying shares in Western media outlets despite the fact that none of those medias serve the purpose of the Arab countries. Instead, they always compete in hostility targeting Arab rulers thus serving the purpose of Western policymaker’s hegemonic agendas against the Middle Eastern and Arab countries.

While some of the Arab nations is spending upto US$50,000 for every shot from an air defense system, did they ever bother investing a few hundred million dollars in media?

Look into China. A real economic superpower. They also have news agencies like Xinhua or newspapers like, for example The Global Times, China Daily or South China Morning Post (SCMP). Again, my humble question, what are the impacts or influence of these media outlets in the West or western policymakers? Instead, in most cases, these media outlets are given the bad names of “propaganda machines”.

Now the case of Russia. Name me a single English-language newspaper in Russia that either confronts western hostility towards Moscow except of The Moscow Times mostly running anti-Russia or anti-Putin contents. People now may mention the names of TASS, RT (RUPTLY) or Sputnik News. Please check on Google News and other major search engines to finally realize, how these news outlets are absolutely ignored, or how these outlets fail reaching western audience. For a huge country like Russia, was is a mission impossible to establish at least five major English dailies and couple of TV channels to the levels of CNN or Fox?

According to statistics, Russia spends tens of millions of dollars every day on the war with Ukraine, according to a recent study, the daily cost of the war in Ukraine could exceed US$20 billion for Russia. The study found that direct losses in the first four days of the war amounted to about US$7 billion, including military equipment and personnel losses. Well, the amount might be exaggerated or part of anti-Russia propaganda, but the truth is – Russia certainly is spending at least millions of dollars every day in its special military operation in Ukraine. And this whole amount went behind military war – not behind soft war or media war.

While Ukraine and its western allies are making significant success in running massive media assaults on Russia mostly through twisted or molested information or propaganda, Kremlin is miserably failing in countering such actions due to absence of its own effective media. When wealth and cash worth hundreds of millions of dollars of Russians are visibly robbed-off by the Biden administration and his western partners, none of the media utters a word condemning such illegal or thuggish actions. Instead, Russians are projected are mere thieves, looters and corrupts by the western media cartel.

Don’t these realities evidently prove – we, those 89 of the global population are media callus?

  1. Have some confidence. I recently became aware of Blitz and read it daily for viewpoints outside of the dominant western media, especially since Blitz is not left-wing boilerplate
