Radical Islam spreads like bonfire in India

While Samajwadi Party MP Shafiqur Rahman Barq said: “If women roam around without burqas, criminal behavior in society increases”, Muttahida Majlis-e-Ulema (MMU) — an amalgam of various religious, social and educational organizations in the Valley — on October 13, 2022 condemned the Jammu and Kashmir administration’s approval to the sale of beer and other ready to drink beverages in departmental stores, saying it deeply hurts the sentiments of Muslims.

It said as Kashmir is a Muslim-majority place, such directives show “utter disregard for the tenants of Islam”.

“Open sale of alcohol in departmental stores will further promote addiction which is a major issue in Kashmir especially among our youth, something that the authorities also claim to be concerned about. It will also encourage immoral behavior”, the MMU said in a statement.

While the consumption of alcohol is banned in many states of India, why is it being “encouraged” in J-K, it asked.

In his statement, Samajwadi Party MP Shafiqur Rahman accused ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of trying to spoil the atmosphere of the country on the pretext of hijab.

In a video which has now gone viral, SP MP Shafiqur Rahman Barq is heard saying, “Honestly, this is a religious matter. It is a matter pertaining to Islam. In Islam, Hijab is mandatory for women. They have been told to remain in purdah and not roam around the markets and streets without purdah. This spoils the situation and profligacy increases. Today, if they say that Hijab is not necessary. Due to this, it will be a loss not just to Islam but to society also”.

Notably, Shafiqur Rahman Barq is the same Samajwadi party leader who was seen extending his support to the Jihadist organization, two days after the Taliban took control of Afghanistan. On Tuesday, August 17, the SP MP, who remains in news due to his controversial statements, tried to legitimize the radical Islamist outfit as he opined that the Taliban have only recaptured the land that originally belonged to them.

Drawing an equivalence between these Jihadists and India’s freedom fighters, the Samajwadi Party leader said that like our countrymen fought for freedom from the British, the Taliban also wants to free their country and run it.

Further heaping praises for the Jihadist outfit, Shafiqur Rahman Barq added, “Taliban is a force that did not allow even strong countries like Russia and America to settle in their country”.

The Samajwadi Party leader has a track record of making extremely problematic comments. He had once said, “BJP not only tampered with Shariat but also got girls caught and raped. Mistakes like mob lynching were done with Muslims. The government is now facing the brunt of which in the form of coronavirus.”

It may be mentioned here that, few days ago during celebration of the birth anniversary of the Prophet of Islam, a section of Indian Muslims marched on the streets of several towns and cities holding jihadist flags, where Ashok Chakra in the Indian national flag was replaced by Islamic Kalema that says ‘There is no god but Allah and Mohammed in the prophet of Allah”. Flags bearing Kalema are being used by Al Qaeda and Islamic State (ISIS).

Hundreds and thousands of Hindus began protesting this open disrespect of Indian national flag, which actually is tantamount to sedition.

Following this incident law enforcement agencies in an area named Prayagraj took the matter into cognizance and identified two accused who disrespected the Tricolor during the rally. They registered a case against the two and booked them under Section 2 of the Prevention of Insults to National Honor Act, 1971. The Police have also launched a manhunt to nab the two accused who are absconding at present.

According to media reports, similar incidents took place in several parts of India, where Muslim participants of the event disrupted peace and went on violence, mostly targeting Hindus.

The Islamist participants in Amethi and Azamgadh raised the slogans of ‘Sar Tan Se Juda’ [detach head from the body, a jihadist slogan] meanwhile those in Belagavi, Karnataka attacked a few members of the Hindu organization.

In West Bengal, which has already turned into one of the epicenters of the activities of jihadist groups, Hindus came under attack during celebration of annual Lakshmi Puja.

While Muslims have openly exhibited Islamic flag, which only exposes their agenda of establishing caliphate in India, Muslims in the United Kingdom are denying to sing the national anthem. According to media reports, Faisal Bodi, a leader of the so-called Islamic Human Rights Commission in London in an article said: “Muslims should NOT sing the national anthem”. In the article Bodi wrote:

In the Islamic spirit of Husn al-Dhann I have tried to find justifications for intoning what is essentially a prayer for the monarch. But try as I might I can only find strong reasons for Muslims NOT to sing the anthem.

Firstly, as head of state the monarch embodies all the cruel atrocities and plunder carried out under the British Empire. Granted, this particular queen wasn’t personally responsible for any of that but the institution itself has, at least indirectly, caused immeasurable historical suffering.

These days the monarchy’s role may be mainly ceremonial but there is no escaping the fact that it rests on ill-gotten and blood-soaked gains.

Secondly, the national anthem is not a religiously neutral song. It is believed to have originated in 1745 with the Hanoverian supporters of King George against the Jacobite uprising led by Bonnie Prince Charlie. Incidentally, the line “God Save the King” comes from the Old Testament Book of Samuel and refers to King Saul.

The British monarch cannot be divorced from his/her role as the head of the Anglican Church. Since the 16th century they have been conferred with the title of “Defender of the Faith”. Their principal duty is to preserve the primacy of the Church of England. When the national anthem came into being it was this aspect of the monarch’s duty that his supporters were striving to uphold against the more absolutist monarchical ambitions of the Jacobites.

The anthem seems all the more problematic when you consider its fourth line and its second verse:

Send him victorious…

O Lord our God arise,

Scatter our enemies,

And make them fall!

Confound their politics,

Frustrate their knavish tricks,

On Thee our hopes we fix,

God save us all!

Given that this anthem was and is sung as a patriotic ode when Britain has invaded Muslim countries or gone to war with them, it is grotesque to see Muslims belting it out particularly on masjid premises.

While Muslims are continuing pro-hijab/burqa notoriety in India, in Iran, hundreds of girls and women are being brutally murdered by the mullah regime for protesting against hijab stating burqa and hijab are symbol of slavery of girls and women.
