Tablighi Jamaat and Pakistani connection behind Texas synagogue attack

According to media reports, Faisal Malik Akram, the jihadist who was shot dead after taking four people hostages at a Texas synagogue was investigated by the British intelligence agency MI5 to assess the level of security threat posed by him. But surprisingly, MI5 investigators concluded that Akram posed no credible threat.

White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki, while commenting about the Texas synagogue attacker said, he “was checked against US government databases multiple times before he entered the country”, and evidently he was deemed not to pose any security threat despite the fact of his criminal record.

But now comes a bombshell: Faisal Malik Akram, who was said to have “mental issues”, as is said of virtually all jihadist in the West, was referred to the UK counterterrorism prevent program in 2016. So, he was indeed a known security threat. His family had also previously told British newspaper the Daily Mail “how Akram’s descent into more extreme religious views and his controlling behavior had led to the marriage breakdown”. As it turns out, two Muslims were also arrested in connection with Akram’s Texas synagogue hostage taking.

As an aside, “Ali Harbi Ali, 25, the man who is accused of, and denies, murdering the Tory MP in a knife attack in his constituency of Southend in October 2021, had been referred to prevent some years ago”.

Ali and Akram both proved to be a high security threats, showcasing just how ineffectual MI5 and other so-called counterterrorism government “experts” in Britain are in understanding the threat of jihad, which is rooted in Islamic doctrine and history.

The Prevent program is UK’s Counter Terrorism Strategy. According to its website, its purpose is to stop terrorist attacks, stop people from becoming terrorists or supporting terrorism, to strengthen protection against a terrorist attack, and to mitigate the impact of a terrorist attack.

Yet “it was also claimed at an inquest into the London Bridge Terror that Prevent officers had ‘no specific training’ in handling terrorist offenders”.

How could this be, given its mandate?

Prevent also boasts of its “uniqueness in that it involves all parts of Government, such as the Home Office, the Cabinet Office, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Department for International Development.”

Involving “all parts of government” isn’t reassurring. The UK Home Office is allowing in tens of thousands of illegal Muslim migrants via the English Channel, with no knowledge of their backgrounds. This in itself shows the extent of the disregard the British government has for national security.

Also, any country’s government which has allowed the “Islamophobia” stratagem to gain influence is both clueless and dismissive about the roots of jihad terror. The jihad thrives by means of intimidation tactics and under a cover of silence and inaction. It behooves Islamic states and Islamic supremacist lobbies to stealthily support the shutdown of criticisms of Islam in the West, presenting such criticisms as “hurtful to Muslims” and as “racist”. Western governments and counterterrorism “experts” continue to fall for this simple trick.

So what is the next step, now that it is known that Akram was under suspicion for jihad terrorism but was still allowed to slip through government-run high-level security agencies like MI5 and Prevent, and was then allowed to enter the US on a tourist visa, when he was actually known to intelligence agencies in the UK? Likely nothing much. At the end of the news cycle, the kowtowing and appeasement of Muslims to satisfy determined Muslim Brotherhood-linked groups will continue. And the phobic avoidance of being labelled “Islamophobic”, along with political pandering for the Muslim vote, will also continue, with no regard for public safety.

Akram, Tablighi Jamaat and Pakistan connection

Texas synagogue attacker Faisal Malik Akram grew-up in Blackburn in Britain, which is known as another global hub for the followers of Deobandi school of thoughts and widespread activities of Tablighi Jamaat, which is known as the antechamber of radical Islamic terrorism. The Deobandis, who control many of the mosques in Blackburn originated the Taliban. Similarly, for the past few decades, activities of Tablighi Jamaat is on alarming rise in a number of cities in the United States, where Muslim community are becoming actively engaged with the so-called community mosques or Islamic centers.

It may be mentioned here that, Tablighi Jamaat has been using mosques throughout the world, including the United States and Britain as breeding grounds of jihadists and is closely intertwined with Pakistani radical Islamism and vectored Islamic terrorism. Quite a number of Tablighi Jamaat followers have joined Al Qaeda and other radical Islamic jihadist outfits. Tablighi Jamaat is particularly notorious for spreading hatred against Jews and Christians by branding them as “apes, pigs and enemies of Allah” and for calling upon Muslims to wage jihad and murder Jews, Christians and non-Muslims. Due to heavy presence of Tablighi Jamaat in most of the parts of the United Kingdom, including Blackburn, hundreds of radical Islamic jihadists are coming out of these areas.

According to the Jewish Chronicle, Akram studied the teachings of the conservative Islamic movement Tablighi Jamaat at his local mosque, the Masjid-e-Irfan. Over the years, he went on trips with other followers to preach to Muslims and non-Muslims.

In recent years, Akram attended large Tablighi Jamaat gatherings in Pakistan, which has the world’s largest following of the religion outside Bangladesh.

It may be mentioned here that, Tablighi Jamaat has its headquarters in New Delhi, India.

Concerns about his radicalization erupted at a meeting during last year’s Gaza conflict, when a local councilor reported him to the police after he ranted about bombing Jews.

But despite the concerns of some in the community about his views, others appeared to support him, even after the attack in Texas.

In the wake of the hostage-taking, the Blackburn Muslim Community Facebook group posted that it had prayed for “the Almighty” to “bless him with the highest ranks of Paradise” in a now-deleted post.

Faisal Malik Akram’s outburst about killing Jews came at a meeting called in May last year to discuss escalating tensions between Israel and the Palestinians in Gaza. He had at that time already joined a number of pro-Palestinian protests.

Akran also told those present at the meeting, which took place near his local mosque, Masjid Irfan, that Jews needed to be punished and should be “bombed”. Still British MI5 or the US intelligence did not see any threat posed by Akram. Shame on them!
