Who Are The Palestinians?

Peter Baum

How is it feasible that those opposing Israel and supporting the Palestinians can defy historical evidence regarding the mythical connection of the anthropological miracle , that is the  recently  invented Palestinians to the Holy Land. How can these intellectual incompetents and racists possibly support the claim  , given the  the family names listed below are indigenous to Palestine and not to their original lands. How can those anti semites argue with the numerous respected  Arab  politicians , statesmen, and even militants who unequivocally identify that the Palestinian cause is nothing more than a political confidence trick to rid the area of Jews and replace with Muslims.

How do those opponents of Israel know better than history , written and photographic evidence , and the statements of such high profile and respected figures in the Arab and Islamic world who categorically deny the identity of Palestinians .

Even within the Koran ( and this will be subject to a separate post ) there is not only no mention of either Jerusalem nor Palestine, but there are numerous Suras that clearly state that Allah bestows the Holy Land to the Children of Israel – the Jewish people . Sura 17.104 is just one example –

” And we said unto the Children of Israel after him; Dwell the Land ; but when the promise of the Hereafter   cometh to pass We shall bring you as a crowd gathered out of various nations”

Other Suras are 59;2 , 2.40; , and 2.47; among numerous others.

Most “Palestinians” can only prove that their ancestors were there in 1940’s but not earlier. Many of them emigrated to “Palestine” to find work due to the Zionist boom. When the early Zionists started to build up the area, which was mostly desert and swamp. The Arab countries did not pump as much oil as today, and their people were poor. The Arabs found work, then brought their families, and their friends, just like the Immigrants who go to Europe now.

The only Palestinians were the Jews and nomadic tribes  who lived in the region (not state), called Palestine,  which was under the British mandate. The Arab names of those who claim that they are “Palestinians” to this day show their true origins:

Even Yasser Arafat, the most famous “Palestinian” and leader of the P.L.O terrorist organization, was not native to Judea. He called himself a “Palestinian refugee” but spoke Arabic with an Egyptian accent. He was born in 1929 Cairo, Egypt. He served in the Egyptian army, studied in the University of Cairo, and lived in Cairo until 1956! His full name was Mohammed Abdel Rahman Abdel Raouf Arafat al-Qudwa al-Husseini. “Al-Qudwa” tribe origin?

Yasser Arafat also proudly stated in his authorized biography that, “If there is any such thing as a Palestinian people, it is I, Yasser Arafat, who created them.”

Walid Shoebat a former PLO terrorist acknowledged the myth of Palestinian nationality when he wrote
‘ Why is it that on June 4th 1967 I was a Jordanian and overnight I became a Palestinian….’

Joseph Farah , Arab writer and journalist wrote in Myths of the Middle East’
‘ There has never been a land known as Palestine governed by Palestinians.
Palestinians are Arabs indistinguishable from Syrians , Iraqis etc…..’

Auni Bey Abdul – Hani , Syrian spokesman to the Peel Commission 1937 …
‘’  There is no  country  such  as Palestine . Palestine is a term  the Zionists invented . There is no Palestine in the Bible  Our country was for centuries part of Syria.  Palestine is alien to us. It was the Zionists who introduced it ”.

Ahmad Shukan Arab UN representative 1956:
‘Such a creature as Palestine does not exist…..’

Professor Philip Hiti, Arab historian 1946:
‘There is no such country in history absolutely not’

Zuhair Muhsin , Executive Council member and commander of PLO:
‘There are no differences between Jordanians, Syrians and Lebanese…only for political reasons we create a Palestinian identity… yes the existence of a separate Palestinian identity serves only tactical purposes.
The founding of a Palestinian Islamic State is a new tool in the continuous battle against Israel’

Hafez Assad – Syrian dictator to Yassir Arafat:
‘ There is no such thing as a Palestinian people and no Palestinian entity….’

Other historical facts worthy of note:

Ibn Taymiyyah – famous Islamic scholar 1263 – 1328 wrote:
‘In Jerusalem there is not a place one calls sacred to Islam and the same holds true for the tombs of Hebron…’

Adrian Reland a Dutch scholar who visited the Holy Land in 1665 wrote of the non existence of Arab place names.

The extensive written material of visitors to the Holy Land relate to all things similar which is a barren and desolate land pocketed with Jewish communities and absolutely no reference to any ‘ Palestinians’.
Such testimony can also be found in the writings of the following throughout the XVI to XIX centuries .
Alphonse de Lamartine, Sir George Gawler,George Adam Smith, Siebald Rieter, Michael Naud, Martin Kabatnik, Arnold Van Harff, Johann Tucker, Felix Fabri, and Edward Robinson among others.

The essays of other writers as follows verify that there were no Palestinian connections to the current area in dispute….

1590 – Gunnar Edward Webbe in the Exploration Fund
1750 – Thomas Shaw – British Archeologist
1780 – Count Constantine Francois Volney , author and historian
1844 – William Thackeray , author
1857 – James Finn , British Consul
1867 – Mark Twain ( Samuel Clemence ) , author
1892 – B.W.Johnson , author
1913 – British Royal Commission Report

The photographers Dwight L.Elmendorf  in 1901 and  Leo Kahn in 1912 prove the complete absence of indigenous Palestinian habitation let alone culture.

Let’s face it….. there is no Religious, Historical nor Legal justification for a Palestinian State. The Palestinians have only recent tenuous  connections to the geographical area in dispute. They simply wish to rid the land of the Jewish people..

Notwithstanding this , Israel has Legal Title not only to its current land mass but also to the West Bank ( Judea and Samaria ) and Gaza as per the League of Nations Covenant ( 1922 ) which legally codified  the Teaties of San Remo  Sevres ( 1920 )  and Lausanne ( 1923 ) ; the French British  Boundary Convention  ( also 1920 ) ; UN Charter Article 80 , ( 1945  ) ; and the International Legal Principles of Estoppel and Acquired Rights.
