Democrats want Michelle Obama to run against Donald Trump

With Joe Biden’s approval ratings sinking and Kamala Harris already emerging as a huge liability to the party, Democrats are thinking of nominating Michelle Obama to run against Republican Party’s mighty candidate and former president Donald Trump.

Joe Rogan, former UFC commentator and host of “The Joe Rogan Experience” on Spotify has gone viral for speculating that former first lady Michelle Obama would beat Donald Trump in 2024 in Joe Biden did not run for re-election.

“I really believe if Michelle Obama runs, she wins”, Rogan said during his Christmas Eve episode. “She’s great, she’s intelligent, she’s articulate, she’s the wife of the best president that we have had in our lifetime in terms of, like, a representative of intelligent, articulate people”.

He also said that a ticket with Michelle Obama and Kamala Harris as vice president would provide “a double dose of diversity”.

Rogan added that “the only thing that would stop her is if she bought into some of these policies that are destroying businesses in America that are making people scared. If she somehow or another supported or showed any support for lockdowns and mandates and all this craziness that’s going on”.

The controversial podcaster and stand-up comic has made a career — including his reported $100 million deal with Spotify — over speaking frankly and pushing people’s buttons. During the pandemic, for example, he has received backlash for downplaying the need for young people to get vaccinated against COVID, and for condemning social distancing measures such as shutdowns to curb the spread of the virus. He tested positive for COVID earlier this year.

As for the Republican ticket, Rogan mused that former president Donald Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis would “make a super team” if they ran together. “That’s the only way they win”, Rogan said.

But, according to Obama family insiders, Michelle Obama has not indicated any plans that she intends to run for office. It should be noted that the former first lady has not indicated any plans that she intends to run for office; quite the opposite, in fact. Michelle Obama told People earlier this year that “I’m moving toward retirement right now, [selectively] picking projects”. She added that she and former President Barack Obama are “building the foundation for somebody else to continue the work, so we can retire and be with each other”.

And former Obama White House adviser Valerie Jarrett also told The Hill last year that the former first lady will never run for office. “The reason why I’m being so unequivocal is that there just simply has never been a time when she’s expressed an interest in running for office,” Jarrett said. “She’s not demurring here. She’s not being hard to get. She doesn’t want the job”.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden recent told ABC that he intends to run for re-election and the possibility of facing off against Donald Trump again would “increase the prospect” even more.

“Yes … if I’m in the health I’m in now — from a good health. And, in fact, I would run again,” Biden said.

But for the Democratic Party policymakers, Biden already has become a huge liability to the party as his approval ratings are sinking fast while Biden’s “running mate” Kamala Harris is proved to be the most unpopular and failed vice presidents in the US history. There are indications of a number of Democrats seeking nomination for the 2024 elections. Kamala Harris, as well as fellow former presidential candidates Pete Buttigieg, now serving as Biden’s Secretary of Transportation, and Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren are amongst the heavy-weight candidates. Former first lady Hillary Clinton also has expressed willingness for running in 2024 election.
