While the United Kingdom is known as the ‘Mecca’ of democracy, according to Britain’s largest newspaper The Sunday Times, members of the ruling Tory Party are reportedly taking money from various corrupt individuals including militancy-funders who had entered Britain with tons of dirty money.
The Sunday Times in a report titled ‘Tory Donor Charged With Arms Dealing And Funding Terrorism’ said, a man named Mohammed Shahid Uddin Khan has invested 12 million pounds in the United Kingdom since 2009 and purchased ‘Golden Visa’ in that country. British authorities did not have any problem although the entire amount was brought into that country through illegal channels. Moreover, in Bangladesh, Shahid Uddin Khan and members of his family are facing charges of funding radical Islamic militancy.
According to The Sunday Times, Shahid Uddin Khan has paid 20 thousand pounds to the Tory Party as Khan said, MP Stephen Hammond, has been very helpful to him. He said, “He once helped my second daughter [Parisa Pinaz Khan] while she had problems with her school documents”.
This particular case of Md. Shahid Uddin Khan clearly proves, United Kingdom has no hesitation in even accepting ‘investment’ from corrupt individuals as well as militancy funders.
According to reports published in Blitz, The Daily Sun, Asian Tribune, Eastern Herald, Afternoon Voice, The World News, News Ghana and many other newspapers around the world, Md. Shahid Uddin Khan and his family are funding Islamic State and other militancy groups while they also are having business relations with Dawood Ibarhim’s D-Company in Dubai (United Arab Emirates).
