Birds of a feather, anti Semitic Dems get new BFF

News Desk

As the House prepared Thursday for a vote on a resolution originally meant to condemn Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., for anti-Semitic remarks, former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard David Duke praised the freshman Democrat as the most important member of Congress.

Duke said in a podcast Thursday that Omar is “the one person in Congress willing to notice AIPAC and the dual loyalty of many members of Congress.”

His reference was the the American Israel Political Affairs Committee, AIPAC, which Omar had named in a series of anti-Semitic tropes about wealthy Jews and political influence.

Duke tweeted: “Dr Duke & Eric Striker: By Defiance to Z.O.G. Ilhan Omar is NOW the most important Member of the US Congress!”

“Z.O.G.” means “Zionist Occupied Government.”

Wikipedia opens its entry on Duke describing him as a “prominent American racist, white supremacist, white nationalist politician, white separatist, antisemitic conspiracy theorist, Holocaust denier, convicted felon, and former Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan.”

Democrats in 2016 made an issue of Duke’s endorsement of Donald Trump for president in the general election against Hillary Clinton.

Last month, however, Duke said he would support Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, D-Hawaii, for president.

Duke said she would be the candidate who puts the U.S. before Israel.

“Finally a candidate who will actually put America First rather than Israel First,” the banner said.

Israel ‘hypnotizing the world’

Last week, Omar made the “dual loyalty” charge, saying her critics represent a “political influence in this country that says it is OK to push for allegiance to a foreign country,” meaning Israel.

Omar in 2012 accused Israel of “hypnotizing the world” and prayed that “Allah awaken the people and help them see [its] evil doings.”

In February, she responded to a tweet from journalist Glenn Greenwald about House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy threatening to punish her and another congresswoman for being critical of Israel.

Omar tweeted in response: “It’s all about the Benjamins baby.”

In another tweet she named AIPAC as a group funding Republican support for Israel.

After criticism from Pelosi and other Democratic leaders, Omar issued a qualified apology, pledging to learn more about “the painful history of anti-Semitic tropes” while also blaming Jewish money for driving the criticism. Two days later, she took a personal swipe at a Jewish diplomat during a congressional hearing.

President Trump called on her to resign or be barred from serving on congressional committees, saying, “Anti-Semitism has no place in the United States Congress.”

Since then, it’s been reported she is scheduled to speak alongside a notorious, anti-Semitic Muslim leader.

WND reported that in a 2013 interview, Omar complained that Americans say “al-Qaida” as though it’s something negative.
