Shaikha Maryam bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the daughter of Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Dubai Ruler, got married to Shaikh Khaled bin Mohammed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan.

The young princess’ siblings and other members of the royal family took to social media to congratulate the couple after their Al Akhd ceremony on Thursday (September 19).

Sheikha Maryam’s sister, Sheikha Latifa Mohammed Bin Rashid At Maktoum, shared the news on Instagram on Friday.

The pair’s engagement was first announced on social media on August 24, 2018.

At that time, several family and friends close to Sheikha Maryam celebrated the news by posting it on their various social media accounts.

Sheikh Khaled is a member of the Abu Dhabi royal family. He graduated from British Royal Academy Sandhurst in the UK and was awarded the Major General Diwan Misri Chand Platoon Award for demonstrating outstanding innovation and purpose during the training course.

In early June, a huge celebration was held in Dubai World Trade Centre to celebrate the marriages of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, the Crown Prince of Dubai, and his brothers to their respective brides. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai attended the ceremony as vast crowds gathered outside the venue to celebrate the occasion.
