Iran’s incompetence proved again

When a US drone strike killed Iranian terrorist general Qassim Soleimani in January, the clamour of condemnation of President Donald Trump eventually gave way to the more sober assessment that the US had shot and killed an Iranian general plus four other top-level terrorist leaders in a single military attack without any of its soldiers being anywhere near the target. The latest is that the US military has just improved on that legendary accomplishment.

TV7 Israel News reported on 12 May 2020:

An Iranian navy frigate accidentally struck a friendly Iranian vessel with a missile during a naval exercise in the Gulf of Oman, killing at least 19 sailors and wounding 15 others.

According to Iranian state television, the navy frigate named Jamaran fired at a training target, which was released by a support ship, named the Konarak. The report noted, however, that the support ship stayed too close to the intended target and was hit instead.

So not only do US soldiers not have to be anywhere near the target for Iranian soldiers to get killed, they no longer need to fire any shots, either. It remains unclear whether Iran will retaliate, but the Ayatollah Khamenei’s inbox is reportedly jammed with Democratic Party and Hollywood emails begging him for forgiveness and mercy.
