Jen Psaki lies about Hunter Biden financial crime

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki is continuing to insist that President Joe Biden did not have anything to do with his son Hunter Biden’s business dealings.

It comes after news that Hunter’s business partner had dozens of meetings at the White House when the elder Biden was vice president.

“I want to take another stab at a question I tried yesterday.  You answered the first part of it.  We’ve heard the President say over and over again that he has never spoken to his son about his business dealings.  Has he ever spoken to his son’s business partners about his son’s business dealings?” Fox News White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich said.

“Again, nothing has changed about what I said yesterday.  The President does not get involved in the business dealings of his son,” the press secretary said.

“Even through his son’s business partners?” the reporter pressed.

“Nothing has changed since what I said yesterday,” the press secretary insisted

“Okay.  I don’t believe you answered that part of my question yesterday though,” the reporter said.

“He’s not involved in his son’s business dealings,” the press secretary said.

The previous day Heinrich questioned Psaki after news about Hunter’s business partner was reported.

“Does the President still maintain that he never spoke with his son about his business dealings? And given this reporting on Eric Schwerin, does he also say that he has never spoken to his son’s business partners about his son’s business dealings?” the reporter said.

“He maintains his same statements that he’s made in the past.  I would say — I know you’re referring to WAVES records that were released more than 10 years ago.  I really don’t have more detail or information on them.  I’d note that there was a gap when WAVES records were not released, but I don’t have more information about visits from more than 10 years ago.,” the press secretary said.

Fox News reported:

Hunter Biden’s longtime business partner Eric Schwerin visited the White House at least eight times in 2016, meeting with then-Vice President Biden’s chief of staff Steve Ricchetti, who currently serves as Biden’s White House counselor, and an assistant in Biden’s office who used to work at the investment firm Schwerin and Hunter managed.

Those eight additional visits, in addition to 19 previously known Schwerin visits, bring his total number of White House visits during the Obama-Biden administration to 27.

Schwerin, the president of since-dissolved investment fund Rosemont Seneca Partners, visited Ricchetti at least twice in 2016. The two visits occurred in room 272 on Feb. 29 and room 276 on Aug. 17 at the Old Executive Office Building (OEOB), according to the 2016 White House visitor logs.

“These are all meetings that have been public for years because both the Obama-Biden Administration and this administration released visitor records for the sake of transparency – a practice discontinued during the Trump years,” a White House official said.

Now House Republicans want Schwerin to talk to them about the meetings he had at the White House.

“We expect Eric Schwerin to provide us with answers to our questions,” a Republican on the House oversight committee said to The New York Post.

“If Americans entrust Republicans with the majority in 2023, we will use tools at our disposal to ensure we get to the truth about whether Joe Biden has financially benefited and helped facilitate Hunter Biden’s business dealings,” they said.

Republican Kentucky Rep. James Comer penned a letter signed by 14 Republicans asking for Schwerin to appear and talk to them.

“On June 10, 2010, an email from you to Hunter stated: ‘Your Dad’s Delaware tax refund
check came today. I am depositing it in his account and writing a check in that amount back to you since he owes it to you.’ This email shows an intertwined financial relationship between President Biden and his son, the latter of whom has profited from America’s losses to foreign adversaries,” the letter said.

“The Obama-Biden Administration’s subsequent nomination of you as a member of the Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad further complicates the Biden family’s private and public dealings. If President Biden and Hunter are sharing funds or if President Biden is in debt to his son — the American people deserve to know it especially in light of the millions of dollars Hunter’s businesses have received from countries adversarial to US interests,” it said.
