Tables turn ob guys targeting Tucker Carlson

The president of the organization that dug up old inflammatory statements by Fox News host Tucker Carlson in an attempt to get him fired has his own track record of inflammatory statements.

Media Matters and its president, Angelo Carusone, have been spotlighting statements Carlson made on a radio shock-jock show between 2006 and 2011.

But Carusone’s now-defunct blog featured degrading references to “trannies,” “jewry” and Bangladeshis, reported the Daily Caller, which was co-founded by Carlson.

In November 2005, Carusone wrote that he was offended by the use of the term “attractive” in an article to describe “a gang of transvestites” who robbed a Bangladeshi man.

“Did you notice the word attractive? What the f— is that doing in there? Is the write[r] a tranny lover too? Or, perhaps he’s trying to justify how these trannies tricked this Bangladeshi in the first place? Look man, we don’t need to know whether or not they were attractive. The f—ing guy was Bangladeshi,” Carusone wrote.

“And while we’re out, what the hell was he doing with $7,300 worth of stuff. The guy’s Bangladeshi! [sic]”

Carusone titled his post “Tranny Paradise.”

The same month, he downplayed a male basketball coach’s alleged sexual and physical abuse of his female players, saying “lighten up Japs.”

On his show Monday night, Carlson, noting his network supports him, vowed he would never “bow to the mob.”

“Fox News is behind us, as they have been since the very first day. Toughness is a rare quality at a TV network, and we are grateful for that,” Carlson said. “We will never bow to the mob, ever, no matter what.”

In a statement issued the previous night, Carlson said Media Matters “caught me saying something naughty on a radio show more than a decade ago.”

“Rather than express the usual contrition, how about this: I’m on television every weeknight live for an hour. If you want to know what I think, you can watch. Anyone who disagrees with my views is welcome to come on and explain why.”

On Tuesday night, Carlson brought former White House Counsel C. Boyden Gray on his show to discuss Media Matters.

Gray pointed out the non-profit doesn’t pay taxes despite its open politicking for Democrats and Hillary Clinton.
