New Delhi, May 12 (Hindustan Times). Wrestling Federation of India president and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, who is facing allegations of sexual harassment by women wrestlers, recorded his statement before the police on Friday. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) of six police officers has been formed to probe the matter. These include four women police officers. This investigation is being done under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) level officers.

A senior police officer said that Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, while giving a statement before the SIT, said that all the allegations leveled against him are baseless. He told that soon he will present some videos and call recordings in his support. He has said that the agenda is being run against him under a well-planned conspiracy, in which people from some political parties are involved.

It is notable that on Friday itself the statements of all the victim wrestlers have also been recorded under section 164 of CrPC. Earlier on Thursday, the statement of the victim wrestler was recorded in the POCSO case.

Wrestlers are continuously protesting at Jantar Mantar demanding the arrest of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. Today is the 20th day of the strike. Wrestlers protesting say that their protest will continue until Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh is removed from the post of the President of Wrestling Federation of India and arrested.
